on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 it marked the end of World War One. one minute silence to commemorate the sacrifices of all the people who fought in the war as well as all the people who dead during this tragic part of world history.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
