Day 44: quite warm

oh my god!!! the removable piece of my project one model fell out and i didn't even know ><><... project 2 was given out in studio today and this time, sticking with the same design but this time shifting the plane around so light is 'shifted' (hence its assignment title). more work and more thinking... hopefully more creativity out of it as well.

because i had an all-nighter... my afternoon nap turned out to be chaotic =\ with me sleeping in and late for work... but i ended up finishing late after midnight tonight. i guess it is karma =[.

well i was suppose to be sleeping asap when i get home but anita needed help with her assignment... to be honest i did not get one thing you asked lor... i felt soooo helpless ar so i stayed up with you to keep you company. hoo toi mm chu ar ngor gum chun bon nee mm do... gao yao ar you can do it! goodluck.

Day 43: cloudy

:'[ i asked my tutor today about my axonometric drawing and he told me to start again ='[... my lines projecting upwards were suppose to be 90degrees ><... it was heartbreaking like he told me ahahahahaha... but i i learned a good lesson... at least now i know how to use this adjustable set square which made my life easy!!! =D... there won't be success without failures right?

well i stayed up all night finishing off this so i can show it to him tomorrow =]... (well not all night because i came home from work at like 12.30 and spent some time resting plus doing my laundry hehehehehe =])

uni tomorrow then work... i got no idea how i going to last my history lecture without falling asleep AHAHAHAHAHA...

Day 42: hot!

was so hot today and i had to walk to belconnen... buy some grocery and go to the bank. but today's trip was a bit more special, well not special just had a company ahahahaha, i went with janice. she showed me her forever healthy diet ==... wink wink! she is going to make pumpkin.....hmmmmm yummmmm... good trip, not so lonely for once.

i nearly bursted into tears tonight when i found out i did my axonometric drawing wrong. i was so upset that i did most of the work and found out it's wrong. i going to check with my tutor or whoever that can help me tomorrow. hope i can do it like that... *fingers crossed* i don't know what i will do if i need to do it all over again just because one set of lines are incorrect =\. and it's going to take so long as well.

day 41: normal weather... warm

the day have been very slow... i tried doing my drawing but procrastination took its place. i hardly did much, just a few lines to make it look more 3D now. i don't know why we need to go into detail with the furniture and stuff. i mean the furniture is the main structural component of the house but should i really need to go into like the number of draws and bookshelves???

naca celebrated her 18th today! =D. but her 18th is actually tomorrow =]. hope she had a lot of fun. sorry that i can't be there... but i will say happy birthday that is for sure.

Day 39: cloudy most of the day

literally poor me... my wallet is soooo empty after buying them tmac ><><'. but i made a deal with them and they gave me some cleaning and protecting products (kind of a bonus i could say). but yeah i am soooo poor after buyging them shoes. fingers crossed that i can claim it back from work because i brought it for work... imagine wearing 200 dollar shoes to work ==. i mean hungry jacks =='

Day 39: Cloudy, dark

yes yes yes!!! my frustration of the dimensions of the Furniture House is finally lessened after today's tutorial... thanks to a classmate Amy who let me photocopy this sheet that had the scaled floor plan on it that allowed me to work out the dimensions. thanks so much Amy! i have made a very rough drawing of it tonight.. quite complicated ><.

because of my laziness, this drawing, hungriness, work the next day and such and such excuses, i have again missed out on a design competition... but i guess that i'm not good enough and that i really don't know anyone who's going =\.

=D i'm slowly getting to know my classmates and ultimately slowly making new friends... it's getting along well hope i could get to know all and hopefully be good friends with some... i also wish to work with them as well... it's good to have people to talk to around classes.

the workload is getting heavy... hope i can cope and enjoy my experience... at the moment i love my course and there is no intentions of changing it! =D

Day 38: why is it still so hot?

i've been searching all over the internet trying to get the dimensions of the Furniture House 1 by Shigeru Ban Architects... but my end result? the same thing on all the site with the dimensions of the units... at this moment i'm not concerned with the interior! i just need the basic dimensions... >=[

other than than i caught up on some sleep todays... and i thought muimui stephy was angry at me lastnight was calling her so late (thought that is why she rejected my call) but she said she is not... what a relief but still bothered her.... sorry

Day 37: warm

sooo tired.... haven't had proper sleep for days... i was like so dead during work tonight until i drank a cup of flat white (sorta got me up) but yeah. handed in my model today! there was some really nice designs... i'll try upload them up. but yeah i said i will upload the field trip photos but i guess that would be cancelled =\. but these ones will be up. these people are sooo creative ahahahahaha (hence there in this course DURHHHHHHH EINSTEIN! ahahahahahaha mr obvious) one of my tutor told me i shouldn't of done my model too symmetrical but i looked at the others and alot of them were infact symmetrical... like even works from the past students they showed us was symmetrical =='. oh well... need to listen and i shall do it in my next project...

well i'm really tired and had nothing to say except my fascination with them beautiful models todays hehehehe

Day 36: sunny with a bit cloud...

YES YES YES!!! finally, after 3 sleepless nights, i have completed my assignment at about 3pm this afternoon! the last internal view drawing totally sucked but i don't care... i got it all done! =D. hoooooo hooooo hoooooo hoi sum arrrrr!!! i could finally enjoy the rest of the day without any stress (well besides running to belconne printing off my black and white photos before shops close and before work) tired but don't want to sleep... because i drank a latte a work and i think it's keeping me up... or just that i'm havign a mental spasm that restricts me from sleeping... whatever the reason IM HAPPY! done and done!!!

now... my plans for tuesday? SLEEP!!! after uni of course and then wake up for work ><

Day 34: HOT! (and it's autumn ><)

for the past 3 days my bedtimes been very early... by that i don't mean early as before midnight but early as it early in the morning (like 5am plus!). i can't say i'm tired tonight because i had a really long nap... like suppose to had a 30min nap at 8.30 but for some reason i did not hear the alarm and by the time i woke up it was 1am already! maybe it's the lack of sleep ><. really need to consider a good bedtime and i finally understand why people say architecture students work so hard.

my model is nearly finished! i need to get this finished so i can start drawing out its perspectives and other stuff. the only thing that slowed me down is the PVA glue ><. PVA glue takes quite some time for it to set and i can't put all the pieces together all at once (that would be disasterous) so i need glue it piece by piece and let it dry till i can move on to the next piece. i know... time consuming ama.

Day 33: quite hot!

OMG!!! i witnessed an accident today on the way to work... a terrible accident. i did not see how it happened, only heard braking and than a bang! by the time i turned around i saw a car spun around. probably hit a car that was about to get out of the intersection or something. hope everything was okay.

woahhhhhhh 5am and i'm still up. why? cutting out the pieces for my model lor. like i said its harder than i thought plus i need to draw alot of stuff! hopefully i could get everything done by tuesday ><. gao yao!

Day 32: warm

i built a prototype (finally) of my light model... looks a bit dodgy but it allows me to play around with light and shadows. i hope i can get everything done by tuesday. it is not just the model i need to built i have to draw up the views and make a small presentation. i better be careful with all the measurements in the actual model or else its going to turn out weird and also i need to plan out everything before gluing it so i don't mess it up. gao yao!!!

man... this light model assignment was harder then i thought it would be... this should be challenging. tried doing a prototype and it was absolutely disastrous, catastrophic, chaotic! i'm will modify mt original model again and hopefully tomorrow when i'm not so tired i can get some things kicking. also i got studio tomorrow morning so i might discuss with lecture/tutor/people on my table or whatever. gao yao!!!

other than that i finished my ugly architecture history proposal.... =] glad i got that done!

after close and cleaning up at work.... my manager, Sam, randomly runs to the back "AYE STEVEN! I SAW YOU ON TV!" was like what? when? i'm famous AHAHAHAHAHAHA... but it was that kite project that we did and i guess channel 9 (which is called WIN down here ==) or ABC happened to captured me... i feel great that actually someone saw me on tv and mentioned it to me =D.

Arch history proposal is sooooooooo damn hard!!! well not hard just don't understand and its due friday =[. the model! have not even touched it and that is due next week ><. better get cracking!

Day 29: quite cold

i had to buy muimui stephypoo lunch today (yummmmmm sushi sushi... because of her i had a great brunch =])and helped her a tiny bit with the assignment i told you about... the one where i did it in 2hours lor... that one. just to make sure her that the assignment is able for a last minute job lor. but she will get everything done on time... i'm sure of it.

well i went to civic today just to look for shoes... no luck at all looking for black bball shoes >< well jordans but i don't think i will spend over 200bucks for it... and even if i do i won't be wearing it to work unless i know i can claim it back. soooo i asked ngor gor leng nui anita to help looking for some in sydney lor and my good friend shopaholic kimmy. thanks a bunch guys.... love yous <3 AND OMG!!! I SAW A WHOLE FAMILY OF KANGAROOS ROAMING ABOUT UC AT MIDNIGHT!!! WATCH OUT!!! seriously! for real... i saw kangaroos... they scared the living hell out of me because i never expected to see kangaroos when i heard a sound beside me while walking back home after work. i tried to snapshot it but failed badly... even with the light i had on my phone camera it was still too dark. but i got witness! the security guy around UC was there when i went searching for them after they jumped out of sight.

assignment due tomorrow and i have to admit... the bibliography for the assignment was tougher than the assignment itself! so hard trying to use 'Chicago referencing' =='. what the hell!!!

Day 28: quite cold

grrrrrrr... >=[ they replaced my shift yesterday and i can't believe i was not notified about the new roster! i mean they made me wake up so early and than walk all the way to work only to find out i've been replaced. LUCKILY the on-site manager, Libby, was nice and said i could still work. well if i knew i did not have work earlier i woulda had plans for other stuff you know. like resting ahahahahaha... but since i was already there i might as well work and make some money.

caught up in EU which is good! i like this kind of cop/undercover storyline... and slowly watching sweetness in the salt. tavias awesommmme!

Day 27: raining

i went to the uni library today for my civilisation history assignment and the weather did not look promising when i went. unfortunately i was 100% right... it started to rain just before the library closes >< as soon as it stopped i started walking quickly back home. but is started raining again half way =[ i had to run with my bag packed with laptop and a few textbooks i just borrowed =[. well at least i finished writing up my essay tonight =D.

muimui stephypoo wanted help with her assignment... guess what??? ahahahaha after finishing my assignment at midnight-ish i spent the next 2 or so hours to do your assignment. it was drawing out an arena plan which is closely related to my architecture course (i wouldn't do it if it was something else but i'll still help her). i think i got it right... hoepfully ahahahahaha and its all under that citeria =P

was watching EU and Offer Pedder today during my breaks (or should i say being sidetracked from doing my assignment ==') awwww did samuel chan discovered rons undercover identity??? can't wait watching the next ep. i know im a bit slow because i've been busy with uni as well as work.

want to apologize for not posting up them field trip photos. i could not find the application and was searching it on google for ages. till like 3.30am and just gave up and went to sleep ><. i found these applications on google but i for some reason i cannot get it to work ><. i will try post them up asap because i have two assignments due this week. going to be a busy and tiring week!!!

hopefully i will spend the day at the uni library tomorrow and finish at least one of the essays.

Field Trip: Nation Art Gallery, National Potrait Gallery & The High Court

Day 25: hot ><

so tired today... i woke up at like 7 this morning so i can catch the bus for my architecture design field trip. then i had work straight after uni till midnight ><. my friend was like OMG DON'T YOU SLEEP SAW U WALKING AROUND UNI WITH A CAN OF MOTHER! ahahahahahahahaha...

well the field trip was quite good today... didn't sketch anything even though i was suppose to drop down anything interesting. but like i'm a slow sketcher so by the time i draw up one line we had to move on already... and we had to go through 3 places in the matter of an hour ><. i took pictures wherever possible (because we are prohibited to take photos inside galleries ><... this lady told me off when i was about to take a photo of this room's ceiling. not like i'm going to bomb this place up or anything gees ==') we were obviously not there for the masterpiece works... but rather the architecture of these three buildings and how they play with light (our topic these few lessons or semester not too sure). was really interesting to learn something you never really pay attention to. =D. i'll see if i can make a little slide up thing from the gadgets so i don't need to make a mess like i did for the kite project.

well that is great! i got 2 assignments due next week... great start have not even started! better get going with it... tomorrow and saturday!

A Day With Muimui Stephypoo =D

Day 24: hot

well today was a special day ar... because i got to spend most of the afternoon with my muimui stephypoo. i watched her perform at her school's idol event. woahhhhh hooo pro ar! we walked around the mall so i could get some equipment. and i happened to be able to join her human movement class as they dissected sheep hearts. thanks to her teacher letting me stay. was like a day at highschool except it seem more like primary school ><. i felt some family love today arrr... haven't had that feeling for ages. thank you muimui. i love you <3

i sort of drew up my design this afternoon... on the walk home after seeing stephypoo, i came along building 11 of the UC campus. i thought i could take the idea of one corner of that building and use it to my advantage. so i modified it and it turned out in my drawing which looks quite good. my previous design was tooooo hard to draw. now it;s time to test it out by transforming the drawing onto a model =]. but before that i need to write out out history assignment. awwwwww... =[ no one is available to swap shifts so i can't go to the workshop tomorrow =[.

Launch Of Project One: Tones of Light/Planar Spatial Composition

today was the launch of my first project for architecture design 1.1! sounds interesting =D. i have to create a scaled (1:20) model that deals with the 'space of light'. sounds cool aye! should be fun. get to be creative so i better put my creative cap on =P. well i had an ideal design up in my head today... i was thinking of all the possible designs while my lecturer was going through the assignment. but the designs were kind of complicated to draw it out without an actual model. like i can picture it but cannot sketch it down on paper. so one of the tutor told me make the model first then sketch the perspectives from there.

awwwwww... i really want to go to this model making workshop on thursday but i got work ><... i see if i can swap shifts or something. maybe i can learn a thing or two from that workshop =D

Day 23: hot but a chilly night

i sure did have a 'gay' lecture today at my history of civilisation today. Dare you guys to google 'greek love'. ahahahahahaha... according to the lecturer today, Greek (or hellenistic) love is what we call HOMOSEXUALITY in the 21st century ar ahahahahaha... the lecture got seriously uncensored when the powerpoint started showing artefacts and photographs of nake 'gay' sexual interaction.

i took some photos of my lonely walks back home after work... the lighting, the long pathways with its emptiness really emphasize the loneliness.

Day 22: warm day but cool night.

i picked up some Love Heart Pickles while making burgers tonight! it was sliced to perfection ahahahahaha looked so much like a love heart. too bad i was like work so i can not take a picture of it.

i had a really lonely walk tonight because i couldn't talk to anyone (because stephypoo has freetime but had to sleep early for school)><. well i was on the phone with leng nui anita for 5minutes lor. sorry to waste your money ar... if only u had freetime ><. she met new friends today! awesome =D. and GOODLUCK on your quiz on wednesday. nee gum lec yat tin tak geh! GAR YAO!

i did some reading to todays for my civilisation class. book was called 'a short history of the world: the story of mankind from prehistory ro the modern day' by alex woolf. it is similar to the other book i had to read ('a very short history of the world' by geoffrey blainey) except this one kind of talks about the wars, rises and declines, their powers, wealth and such of different empires, cities, rulers, etc during the history of civilisation. and of course a bit of religion was thrown into the context. but it's all good... a little of extra knowledge won't hurt. atleast now i know a bit more on christianity (such as the testament and jesus's life). i still got a but more to read which discusses the rise and decline of the Roman Empire. should be interesting lar. before this was talking about other civilisations such as the Greece and Macedonia, the ones that many may know, while other are like the Aegean Civilisation, phoenicians and carthaginians, and the indus valley civilisation.

well that is all for today! most probably loss you guys when i started talking about history. uni and work tomorrow so i better get to bed. sweet dreams!

it has been 3 weeks since i left home and as home sick as i am... this internet is really making me angry! i have not ranted for a while (maybe because it's been smooth) but this internet is really slow... >=[. worked and tired... can't say more ><. that is pretty much my routine now. work, uni and rest.

day twenty: bit sunny

like i said on the title i nearly forgot about writing on my blog today ><. just when i was about to sleep i was like oh sh!t i haven't wrote on the blog yet so i popped out of bed to write my daily life =].

well maybe the reason i forgot is that nothing happened today lor. i did not even get out of the house... probably the closest was doing my laundry ahahahahahahahaha...

stayed home to have a bit of rest since now i have work and school. read my online lectures for design technology 1.1 and yeah, i watched a bit of TVB lor. EU is hoo hoo tay arrrr (leng nui anita and her Ron obessions ==' 30eps of him will get her off the seat!) ... Ohhhh and Off Pedder as well! good stuff =D
