Day Thirteen: warm

last day of summer lar!!! a warm farewell but my body ached soooo much today i did not want to walk or do anything active =\. stayed home all day and watched some documentaries on channel 7. quite interesting... one about grizzles and another about bulding collapases.

i'm starting to stress and panick a bit now because i got an assessment due friday and i got to say my group have not done anything yet! =[. they contacted me twice and that's it! i don't want to fail =[.

fingers crossed that we finish in time !

Day Twelve: cloudy

what else could i title this post after working till midnight and having to wake up for work at 9 this morning? i sort of slept in but luckily the manager forgot he told me about my shifts. ^^.

met some nice work mates the first two days of work and met someone on the walk home. just joined in while he was playing bball. have not played in years so i did not expect much playing with a club player. though i was never any good at it before =='. soooo exhausted with my unfit physical state. i might go back to courts on sunday to play with him again. hopefully i'll get better with time hehehehehe

Day Eleven: another hot day ==

the uni timetable is just a pain to understand >=[. it keeps on changing and it confuses hell a lot of students! cannot stand lectures... there so boring! not like leng nui anita yao leng jai as a lecturer/tutor. how come mine mm leng geh??? ahahahahahaha...

already my unit outlines are hammered with tests and assessments ><.

ohhhh i get to learn a little of og engineering in my course, so slavce! help me!

first day of work and was till close ><. so tiring with all the walking i did today BUT i got free food hehehehehe.

OMG OMG OMG I GOT THE JOB!!!

happiest day of my life since moving to canberra!

got called to interview in the morning and was over the moon! so straight after uni i walked to hungry jacks and just relaxed there for an hour before the interview. i never knew windsurfing was legal at that lake AHAHAHAHAHAHA. here is a picture i took... sorry i forgot to zoom it in before transferring back to computer.

but yeah anyways... good interview, had a nice chat with the manager and 'welcome aboard!'

Woooooooooooooooo go me!!! i finally got a job and hopefully loosen up my parents financial crisis =].

Kite Project!

Day Ten: HOT!

i got issued this kite project today! just a warm up/get to know people project.

OBJECTIVE: to create a kite with some sort of originality and the obvious one... needs to be able to fly. its also a competition! so hopefully it will be fun over the next 10 days making this 'kite' with my group. but unfortunately they guy have not contacted me yet ><><>

My Dreams for 09?

1. make friends down canberra so my life won't be so miserable ==

2. If i really don't like this place hopefully i can get a transfer back to UTS or Usyd next year?

3. visit my family and friends back in sydney as often as possible! love you all! <3

4. most important one... STUDY HARD! finish my bachelor degree with a distinction ^.^ remember the promise leng nui anita! we need to finish on top!

that's what i have in mind so far.... i add on to it if i have any new ambitions

i have been reading this architecture australia magazine during my boring times and i found some really cool awesome stuff. an old mag but if you have not read it than it's still fresh! here's some cool facts i read.

- the chinese government wants to build 400 new cities of one million inhabitants each by 2020. this is equivalent to the construction of europe in the next twenty year!

-Dongtan, an island offshore from Shanghai, will be the world's first 'eco-city'. meaning ZERO emission!

-this amazing piece of architecture by PHOOEY Architects are really 'green'. the core is made completely from unused shipping containers with the labels still attached. if i remember, there is a play area inside that is made from recycle timber and stuff.

First Day of Uni =D

Day Nine: HOT!

first day today! =D. after my first class in architecture design i have a feeling i will enjoy the course =]. really enjoyable not like my history foundation unit where i totally fell asleep to. the only thing im worried about is the amount of money i need to spend on all the equipments >< everything thing needs to be specialised even PENCILS!

had dinner with my housemates tonight and never knew koreans are into spicy stuff. interesting.

hmmmmm i guess my walk to uni and back can be tallied into my daily walk right?

Day Eight: rainy

Just another boring day... that bored i was watching the Oscars. well congratulations to Heath Ledger!!! it started to pour near the evening and i thought my daily walk would be replaced by walking up and down the apartment stairs, which would make me look like a fool. it stopped eventually and i got my walk. its all good!

WELL! my uni life begins tomorrow. there is a bit of nervousness and excitement but overall it's just like first day of high school and kindie right? right??? ahahahahha

well it's just a bit late but i still need to eat and pack my stationary for first day of school!

Stomache Ache ><

Day Seven: warm sunny day.

stayed in bed for the morning since i had a really bad stomach ache. i had plans to go to that christian church picnic i told yous about a few posts back. but i guess god don't want to see me because he knows i'm not christian. =\. all i wanted was to meet some new people ='[.

but i feel a bit better after taking some asian medicine and rub some buk fai yao on my tummy.

other than that, faced 4 brick walls all day.

went out for my daily evening walk.

no pictures today... sorry... as you can see i did absolutely nothing!

oh for tvb loving people! i'm watching E.U at the moment... up to ep4 and so far so good. like leng nui anita says ron yao leng yao ying!

A Nice Evening Walk

like i said in yesterdays post i will have regular walk/jog in the evening or so. i went to walk along the lake todays. was a nice evening walk with a chilling night breeze. i wanted to see these poles glow >< but only like 2 did.

there is a skate park like next to the lake and to be honest i feel insecure walking past that place. them kids (a bit rude 'junkies') are there all day! do they have a life??? i was there at about 8.15 and walked back at 8.30. they were still there skating or whatever they were doing!!! seriously, go home!!! ahahahahaha.

i took another way home tonight (not the normal way that i take from uni) and i nearly got lost! =\. but i found my way home. there's this girl i saw while walking back, she looked really really down and it looked like she injured her ankle. i walked passed asking 'are you okay?' but because she had her music playing i guess she didn't hear me. hope she got home okay.

Day Six: pretty much clouds all day

Uni timetable was released today! and thank god it came out good. i only got class on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. So i get to have a long long weekend. my life would be a bit more cheerful with i get that job. *crosses fingers*

the rest of the day was boring... that boring i spend time in the bathroom straightening my hair to look like goku AHAHAHAHAHA. see the resemblance??? okay maybe not that much AHAHAHAHAHAHA...

day six: bit of sun and clouds

nothing special happened today. stayed home, cleaned my room and did the laundry.

i stayed up till like 5am last night talking to ngor garjeh. didn't knew time past so fast but ngor ho hoi sum ar hor ye ton garjeh gorn jor gum chern sil gun. sorry if i disrupted your homework time ><.

because i didn't do nothing today i thought i would do some exercise to compensate for my laziness. i went out for an evening jog! =D. i saw janice! woahhhh she looked tall compared to me =='. i realised my physical health was really in a bad shape! i said was was out to jog but half the time i was walking. so i've decided the daily walk/jog would be added to my 'to do list'.

Daily Rant

1. windows vista really is a fail! my laptop crashes atleast once a day. what piss me off even more is that my internet is forever slow, it takes years to load a video and than it crashes!

2. lining up at centrelink is just a pain!!! massive centrelink and only one register? make people line up for over an hour to speak to you? seriously implement the ticket system like some banks. at least than the wait would be a bit more comfortable.

3. why does the UC class timetables get released so late? i mean 2 days before classes commence? come on, give me a break! what if people's classes clash together? well... i guess there's going to be hell a lot of confusion lorrr.

finally handed in my job application form today! fingers crossed that they will ring back for interview. its hungry jacks but who cares! i need money!!!

also on another note, fingers crossed that my timetable for uni will be smooth... if i get my first preference times everything will work out.

day five- very hot

today was a very hot day... the shade at the uni concourse area was packed. was like a mission impossible to find some shaded areas to rest. again today was market day at uni and amazing within like 30mins i was approached by many people asking me to join their church meetings. 3 people came from the same church came up to me asking the same thing. i said 'sorry i'm not christian, i'm Buddhist.' but their like 'it's okay, it's okay, christians and buddhists have one common belief. the POWER of love.' okay??? ahahaha. they asked me to go to their pinic this weekend and stuff. at first i didn't have much interest but than i thought 'why not??? they can speak canto! i might be able to make some canto speaking uni friends heheheh.' so my weekend might look religious and hopefully i can fine my way to the park.

anyone know who justin heazlewood, AKA the bedroom philosopher, is? well he appears on Triple J radio shows and in the melbourne comedy gala (or something like that). he was performing at the uni today! he was a former UC student. Talk about comedians using the same jokes ahahaha he used the same jokes in the commencement ceremony and during his performance.

... also i saw this pretty awesome redbull ute on market day. check it out!

from time to time i'm going to put up this post to bring out my anger. grrrrrrr >=[

1. I MISS MY NET!!! this internet is sooo f**king sh*t!!! it said adsd2 but it worst than dial up... internet is the only way i could get some entertainment after i moved. how am i suppose to follow my HK dramas now???

2. CENTRELINK is another epic fail of the australian government... not long ago i filled in this online form for youth allowance. it asked me the most ridculous questions out! just when i thought i'm done i was asked to fill in these other forms about my parents and their details. I DID SAID IN MY ONLINE FORM THAT IM LIVING AWAY FROM MY PERMANENT HOME ADDRESS! WHAT PART DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh >=[. am i suppose to waste like $50 travelling back up to sydney and ask 'mum, dad, can you give me some personal details?'

3. them stupid indoor digital antennas, it say EXCELLENT RECEPTION! ohhh right just another advertising trick. i thought i would be able to receive HD channels on my laptop via the HD tv tuner i got. but NOOOOOOOO they only receive like ABC and SBS... like what the f**k! ABC??? COME ON!!! give me a break.

4. it's like midnight and i still haven't ate dinner yet ><. well part my fault but my housemates have friends over and having this phobia with new people/crowded places, i don't want to go out and cook. =\. i'm sooo hungry at the moment.

day four- sunny

like my title says a good decision is always accompanied by bad ones. I looked at my orientation timetable last night and i thought 'narhhhhh i don't need to go this early and there's nothing on today besides the market day'. glad i didn't go early because when i arrived at uni today they had this battle of the band concert on. it was like heavy metal music with people screaming out words that no one could really understand. no offense to all these people who's into this music. but yeah was a total turn off for me.

my bad decisions??? i didn't straighten my hair last night so this morning was all messy and stuff. NOW i got a FUGLY ID CARD =\. also never trying to put meat into my laptop bag! the juice leaked out as i was putting it in. made me have to clean everything >=[.

day three-cloudy

attended the architecture info session today! =D... but to be honest, it was really REALLY boring. it was to the point where i nearly fell asleep. forgot to bring a pen to drop down some important stuffs, so that was smart of me.

grrrrrrrrrrrr... was just last night that i had to comfort anita (dont worry lar nee lec nui ama you'll get it sorted) about her unit clashing together and today it was my turn!!! >=[. but lucky one of them were an elective so i just had to change that. but i really wanted to do 'international studies; culture and diversity' and because of this stupid timetable i picked 'a brief history of civilisation'. hopefully i enjoy it ><

first time cooking in canberra xD (first 2 days was like take away that my brother brought me before he left hehehehehehe)... don't worry about what i cooked heheheh it filled me up that's all it matters. AHAHAHAHAHA i got this small cute looking rice cooker. isn't is cuteeee???

day two- bit of cloud and sun, windy

ORIENTATION DAY!!! WOOO... actually it was more like... 'oh that's it???' and had to be honest with yous WAS BORING ar. joined the architecture club and this chinese student association club.

walked into the computer labs to get help in enrollment... the comps were like soooo bad, CRT monitor??? the hell! enrollment was a failed as 2 of my units just disappeared so i need to go tomorrow and ask the staff.

didnt meet any new friends which was a shame but i have heaps of time...

my walk to westfield was like forever but had a good walk next to lake ginnidera or however u spell it.

after my first day of orientation i finally understood what leng nui anita was talking about "looking like a kid at uni." =='. i felt sooo tiny ><.

anyways lar... maybe its a new bed... or just missing family and friends... didnt get much sleep last night so im off to bed. sweet dreams! <3

Goodbye Sydney n Hello Canberra

day one- dull, sad, nervous, new start

i didn''t get much of a good sleep last night maybe because i knew i was going to leave 'home sweet home' the next morning. As the sun lit my room i jumped up and made breaky for everyone. mum and dad was already worried asking if i got everythign packed and all. my mood was dull already but the pouring rain didnt help brighting things up. car packed with my stuff, mum burned them inscents/chinese candle thingies/yellow sticks i call them ahahah (but you know what im on about). quickly ran to my neighbours to give him my contact details in case of an emergency and GOODBYE was near by.

10.54am
my sister being the usual her sat infront of the tv sayin goodbye (was expecting a hug from her =[)and my parents aint the hugging type so i just got into the car and waved goodbye and told them to take care of themselves and you know the rest. took a last look at my place and said to myself not to cry. however tears started to blur my sight but i held it in so i didnt burst (or it would be embarrassing) ahahaha.

a long dull and rainy 3-4hr trip was nothing more than talking to my brother and sining along to the music.

arrived at my new home for the next few months or years. unpacked and brother helped setting the room up. was a bit nervous having to live with complete strangers...

tried to log onto msn to tell u guys that im here safe and sound but ZOMG the net was soooooo slow!!! beyond dial up speed!!! what sort of ADSL 2 is that??? GRRRRRRR >=[! BUT eventually the net problem was solved thanks to the ethernet cable...

about 8.00 pm
a final goodbye to my brother and he was off for the drive home. HOPE he's okayy! called him at 12 and he jst got home so its all good.

after midnight??? after a long boring night discussing a name for this blog with friends kimmy and leng nui anita, i made something ur reading right now hehehehe... =].
